My Experience At Camp!

Kia Ora,  I’m going to tell you about the year 5 and 6 camp! My favorite day at camp would probably have to be day 3, because we got to learn more about Kupe and his voyage to New Zealand!

On day three we went to Manea! When we got there we spilt into 2 groups.  My group explored Manea first! We walked in and  explored the outsides of Manea with our guide, we soon got to the Marae and walked in with a waiata to call us in and welcome us to there home! Then we went into their cinema to watch the Story of Kupe!

After Manea we went on a ferry to the Sanddunes! We hopped off the boat grabbed a board and headed up the sanddunes. Not before adding another coat of sunsreen of course!

After we finished those activities we headed back to camp and had a campfire! We got to eat marshmallows, there were even some marshmallows that looked like mincraft blocks, because they were square! It was so much fun. We were all so tired at the end of the day.

It was so much fun at camp, I wish I could go back there. That comes to an end of my story about camp, thank you for reading my story. Have a great rest of your day, Ka Kite Ano

On Parihaka Rememberance Day.

Yesterday we started to make white hats with patterns on it and white feathers. We started off were we got two peices of white card and stuck them together using double sided tape, and marked where we needed it to be cut off. Then we got our pencils then started to make patterns, once we were done that we got a permanent marker and traced on the pencil marks we made. Then we colourd in some of the patterns, and we were finished the first half of doing it. The next day we finished traceing with the vivid, we got to stick it together and make it into a headband. Then we put one, two, or three feathers on it, I put three feathers to rerezent my amazing family. Here is a goofy photo of my freinds and I with our white headbands finished.

The Cool Trip To The Museum!

On Tuesday the 19th of October we went to the Aukland Museum! We went with 16 adults and 5 staff from our school, to look at all the cool new stuff there. I think we just went there to have fun, learn way more stuff and to relax from our hard work at school. We went to the Museum on two buses, half of us on one bus and the other half on the other bus. I loved going to the Museum because it was fun and I got to hang out with some of my freinds that I don’t usally play with, and also because I never have been to a Museum before! It was sad that my dad couldn’t come though.): We split up into groups of 4s but some didn’t come so some groups were 3s, my groups name were: Omran, Deezanay and Abdullah, my group leader was Mr Hing-Windser it was suppose to be my dad but he didn’t come. Anyway check out my slidshow about the Museum!

The BEST GAME OF TEBALL!

Last week on friday we played a game of T-ball! For me it was basically my first game of T-ball, some other students knew the game though. My teacher said it was a treat, but I think it was for finishing our work. Even though it was my first game I think it was the best game of T-ball.  (Probably because my favourite teacher MISS McGRATH made her own extra rules and I think it made it more fun!) Have you ever played T-ball?

So firstly the teacher split us into two different teams. I think I had the best team, cause I had two teachers on our team and the other team had one teacher. Our team went first. I made all the way round with out stoping at a safe spot. I think I was very lucky, because I nearly lost and got out! Most of us got around, but some got out and got caught! Some people didn’t get the rules so they got out too. We got 17! I thought we were going to win.

Then it was the next team’s turn and some of them got out too but only a couple. They were quite lucky too because most of them had played t-ball before. T-ball took a while to finish so everyone went faster! I think I only got one student, but it was only because he didn’t pay attention on who had the ball. In the end there team got 18! I was suprised that most of my team went, ‘awwww’ insted of clapping. We had a conversation about good sportsmanship and we applauded the other side.

Sudent fun day!

Kia ora, not long ago my school did student fun day,it was so fun. Because of  there was no family fun day, the school did student fun day, but our parents wern’t allowed! But at least I had fun, my dad is to busy anyway. There was a slip n slide, a pool, wheels, bouncy castles and more. I had so much fun. I can’t wait till the next event this year there are a lot to come! Oh and here is photos.
